Does your ‘About’ page have these Key Elements?
The ‘About’ page is often sited as one of the most important pages on your website. When someone lands on your site for the first time the first thing they want to know is, ‘what is this site all about and can I trust it?’. I know that I tend to look for an ‘About us/me’ page immediately as my first action, even before learning about what services or products are on offer.
I have also heard that Google looks for ‘About’ pages as part of its’ algorithm for ranking sites. I guess the logic is, if this is true, a legitimate site always has an ‘About’ page.

Important Elements and a basic structure to follow.
IMAGE: Have a picture of you/your team. Don’t be scared to put up an image of yourself and/or your team. People associate images with trust and will connect with you far more effectively.HISTORY: A Short History about you and/or your company How many years have you operated? Share any major milestones along the way. Share a sentence about the owner/manager too.
VISION: Vision and Mission Share briefly your vision/passion/mission. Why does your business exist?
SKILLS: Qualifications, skills and knowledge What does your team and/or you bring to the table?
SERVICE/PRODUCT: What do you offer and what problems do you solve? Share a ‘pain’ ‘passion’ or ‘interest’ that the reader may have and how you can solve it.
CONTACT: Contact / call to action Even through you should already have a contact page, you should also provide quick contact details here as well. As a rule of thumb, what you want most is for potential customers to contact you for business!!! So make it as easy as possible.
If you have a email list, include it here too. Pat Flynn from www.smartpassiveincome.com shared how he found out that his ‘About’ page was one of the most visited pages on his site, and yet he had no call to action. He added an ‘email subscription button’ to the bottom of the page and found people responded.

Thank you, what a great bit of reading and some wonderful information about something many WebMasters do not handle properly.
I like how you break things down into actual sections for the About Me page, like a template that I use for my reviews that I write online. Great job with your site keep it up, my best,
Gary

Thanks Gary :)
You are right, breaking big things down into smaller chunks always helps.
Also, I have found that my about page here has generated a number of inquiries directly by simply having a call to action at the end. It does work! Cheers Jason
